S’mores Puppy Chow
Classic puppy chow with Graham cereal and marshmallows mixed in for the perfect s’mores snack.
I made this recipe for New Year’s Eve a few years ago because I feel like I never make puppy chow and I looooove puppy chow. I was obsessed with this recipe from the get-go because it had Golden Grahams cereal. For a few years, my favorite cereal has been the Post S’mores cereal that has Golden Graham cereal, little cocoa puffs cereal, and crunchy marshmallows. I just knew I’d love this recipe because of that. The only thing I might switch up is the mini marshmallows for crunchy marshmallows, but overall an absolutely amazing sweet treat!
What You Need:
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
9 cups Chex Mix cereal (rice or corn)
2 cups powdered sugar, divided
2 cups mini marshmallows
4 cups Golden Grahams cereal
3 Hershey bars, cut into pieces
Directions:
In a microwave safe bowl, combine chocolate chips, peanut butter, vegetable oil, and vanilla.
Microwave on HIGH for 30 seconds. Then stir. Continue to microwave in 15 second increments until melted and smooth.
In a large bowl, add Chex Mix cereal. Pour chocolate peanut butter mixture over cereal and toss to coat quickly.
Add 1 cup powdered sugar in a large gallon zipper bag and the other 1 cup powdered sugar in a separate gallon zipper bag.
Add 1/2 the coated cereal mixture into one zipper bag and shake. Do the same with the remaining half and the other zipper bag.
Pour onto a cookie sheet and allow to cool.
Toss with mini marshmallows, Golden Graham cereal, and Hershey bar pieces.
Store in an airtight container!
