Pull Apart Pizza

An interactive twist on regular pizza that makes for a fun dinner!

This pull apart pizza is a really fun recipe because it’s interactive - you get to pull it apart to eat it. It’s almost like combining breadsticks and pizza. It’s not too labor intensive, thankfully, and I could definitely seeing this as a fun recipe to get little kids involved in the making process.

What You Need:

  • 1 can (13.8 oz) pizza dough (or homemade)

  • 1/3 cup pizza sauce

  • 5 oz. shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1/2 cup pepperoni

  • 2 Tbsp. unsalted butter, melted

  • 1 tsp. garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning

Directions:

  1. Divide pizza crust in half and place half on a sheet of parchment paper.

  2. Roll out to a 10×15-inch rectangle then transfer parchment paper to a large baking sheet.

  3. Spread pizza sauce on top and then top with cheese.

  4. Repeat rectangle on parchment paper with the second half of the pizza crust.

  5. Transfer just the dough on top of the pizza and cheese.

  6. Cut 1-inch strips on both sides of the long edge, leaving a gap in the middle.

  7. Take each strip and twist 1 to 2 times.

  8. In a small bowl, whisk together butter with garlic and Italian seasoning. Brush all over crust.

  9. Top with pepperoni.

  10. Bake in a preheated 400 degree oven for 12 to 18 minutes.
