Paula Deen’s Chicken Nuggets with Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce

Chicken nuggets made with potato chips with a delicious honey mustard sauce for dipping!

*PIC TO COME*

I think these are my most favorite nuggets so far. Chicken nuggets are a regular in my house with one very picky toddler and a toddler who will eat anything! I think the sour cream and onion chips add so much flavor and a really nice texture.

What you need:

For the Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce:

  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise

  • 3 Tbsp. honey

  • 2 Tbsp. yellow mustard

  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice or juice from 1/2 lemon

  • Horseradish to taste

  • 2 Tbsp. orange juice (more or less as needed)

For the Chicken Nuggets:

  • 2 cups sour cream and onion chips, crushed

  • 1 large egg

  • 2 Tbsp. milk

  • 6 chicken breast filets, cut into 1 1/2 inch cubes

  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted

Directions:

  1. For the Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce: Combine all ingredients except orange juice and mix well.

  2. Thin to dipping consistency with orange juice.

  3. Cover and chill for 2 hours.

  4. For the Chicken Nuggets: In a bowl, mix together egg and milk. In a separate bowl, place crushed chips.

  5. Dip chicken into egg mixture. Then into the chips, pressing gently to help chips adhere to chicken.

  6. Drizzle baking sheet with melted butter.

  7. Place chicken on sheet and cook in a preheated 350 degree oven for 15 to 18 minutes.

  8. Serve with honey mustard or your choice of condiment.
