Instant Pot Hamburger Helper
Hamburger Helper move over - this Instant Pot pasta dish has you beat!
Happy Monday and welcome back for yet another Instant Pot recipe. This recipe is technically a Hamburger Helper-esque recipe but it really reminds me of beefaroni. I grew up on Hamburger Helper and it was not my favorite. I preferred my mom’s goulash any day of the week. I could not get over how quickly this one came together. You cook and crumble your ground beef. Then add the rest of the ingredients and pressure cook for a whopping 5 minutes. It just blew me away!
What You Need:
1 Tbsp. olive oil
1 large onion, diced
1 lb. ground beef
3 cloves minced garlic
1 tsp. oregano
1 Tbsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
4 cups beef broth
1 cup milk
1 lb. elbow macaroni
3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
2 Tbsp. fresh chopped parsley
Directions:
Turn Instant Pot to saute and add olive oil.
Once oil is hot, add ground beef and onion. Cook and crumble for 3 to 5 minutes or until meat is no longer pink. Add garlic in last minute of cooking.
Add oregano, chili powder, salt, pepper, Worcestershire, beef broth, milk, and elbow macaroni. Stir well, making sure to scrape the bottom to remove any stuck on bits to prevent “burn” warning from happening.
Cover with lid and pressure cook on HIGH for 5 minutes.
Quick release pressure and then uncover to stir.
Add cheese and stir well. Garnish with parsley.
