Crockpot Garlic Butter Steak Bites
An easy steak crockpot meal that can be served over potatoes, rice, or pasta!
I’ve made some different crockpot steak recipes over the past few years and my family really liked this one. It’s not super complicated and none of the flavors are anything crazy or surprising, but sometimes the simplest, most straight forward recipe is the perfect one! We tend to like our crockpot meals over potatoes, but noodles and rice work as well!
What You Need:
3 lb. sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. black pepper
1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
1 small onion, thinly sliced
3 cloves minced garlic
1 cup low sodium beef stock
1 oz. packet au jus gravy mix
4 Tbsp. unsalted butter, thinly sliced
Directions:
Add steak bites into a large bowl and toss with salt and pepper to coat.
In a large skillet, heat 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
Add steak, in batches if needed, to quickly sear the steak (not cook fully).
Add steak to crockpot with onion and garlic. Gently stir.
Pour in beef stock and sprinkle au jus over the top.
Top with slices of butter.
Cover and cook on HIGH for 3 to 4 hours or on LOW for 6 to 8 hours, stirring occasionally if you can.
Serve over top of mashed potatoes, noodles, or rice.
