The Best Ever Cheeseburger
This burger boasts to be the best ever and if it isn’t, it’s pretty darn close!
I’m sure at this point I’ve made so many “best ever” recipes but I will still try a new one every single time because what if this one is actually the BEST EVER?! I love a burger recipe that is just the beef with salt and pepper and then you have a sauce or creative toppings to complement the burger itself. I also tend to gravitate towards American cheese because I think the melting and the nostalgia of it make it the best cheese for a burger. This burger may be pretty close to the best ever. The sauce is the correct ratio of ingredients, the burgers are simple with American cheese, and the toppings include red onion versus yellow. Fantastic!
What You Need:
For the Burger Sauce:
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup ketchup
3 Tbsp. dill pickles or relish
1 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
For the Burger Patties:
2 lb. ground beef (80/20)
Salt and pepper to taste
1 Tbsp. canola oil
6 slices American cheese
For Serving:
Brioche hamburger buns
Romaine lettuce
Sliced tomatoes
Sliced red onion
Dill pickles
Directions:
For the Burger Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together all ingredients and chill until ready to use.
For the Burgers: In a large bowl, combine beef, salt, and pepper. Stir until just combined and form into 6 patties.
Heat canola oil in a cast iron skillet over medium high heat. Cook patties until lightly charred and cooked to desired doneness.
Remove from skillet and immediately top with cheese.
For Serving: Spread burger sauce on both sides of brioche bun.
Top with a burger patty, lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, and dill pickles.
