Savory Meatloaf

A very classic tasting meatloaf recipe that you will come back to over and over again.

I really liked this recipe for meatloaf. It actually reminded me a lot of my mother-in-law's :)

What You Need:

  • 1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tsp. chopped fresh sage leaves or 1/4 tsp. dried sage leaves

  • 1/2 tsp. salt

  • 1/2 tsp. ground mustard

  • 1/4 tsp. pepper

  • 1 garlic clove, finely chopped or 1/8 tsp. garlic powder

  • 1 large egg

  • 3 slices bread, torn into small pieces

  • 1 small onion, chopped (1/4 cup)

  • 1/2 cup ketchup, chili sauce or barbecue sauce

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix all ingredients except 1/2 cup sauce.

  2. Spread into an ungreased loaf pan. Spread ketchup or sauce on top.

  3. Bake, uncovered, for 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes or until a meat thermometer stuck in the center reads 160.
