Easy Sprinkle Christmas Cookies

Peanut butter blossoms with an extra little bit of Christmas joy!

We are a household that loves peanut butter blossom cookies. I ate them growing up and my kids have too. I saw this slightly different version where you dip the cookie dough into sprinkles before baking, so I had to do this. My youngest loves helping bake anything, so we had a little station set up. This was also a great recipe for me to use up some of the sprinkles I’ve hoarded!

What you need:

  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 1/2 tsp. salt

  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 tsp. baking soda

  • 2 1/3 cups all-purpose flour

  • Sprinkles

  • 48 milk chocolate stars or Kisses

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, beat together the butter, peanut butter, and sugars until light and creamy.

  2. Add the salt, vanilla, and egg. Mix well to combine.

  3. Add baking soda and flour and mix just until combined.

  4. Roll cookie dough into balls slightly over 1 inch. Then roll into sprinkles.

  5. Place on a parchment paper or silicone mat lined baking sheet about 2 inches apart.

  6. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 8 to 10 minutes.

  7. Remove from oven and immediately press a chocolate star or Kiss on each cookie.

  8. Let cool for 2 to 3 minutes before moving onto a wire rack.
