Chocolate Chip Cookies

The classic Tollhouse chocolate chip cookie recipe cannot be beat!

This recipe is off of the Nestle Tollhouse chocolate chips bag. We made these for Santa. And Santa said they were AMAZING :] And you can take Santa's word for it, right?

What you need:

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour (Dry)

  • 1 tsp. baking soda (Dry)

  • 1 tsp. salt (Dry)

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar

  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract

  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 cups (12 oz.) Nestle Toll House semisweet chocolate morsels

Directions:

  1. Combine dry ingredients in a bowl and set aside.

  2. Beat together butter, sugars and vanilla until creamy.

  3. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

  4. Gradually beat in flour mixture.

  5. Stir in the chocolate chips.

  6. Drop by the tablespoon on an ungreased baking sheet.

  7. Bake in a preheated 375 degree oven for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Tip: Take them out when they are slightly "undercooked" - when they don't look completely done, as they will continue to cook on the cookie sheet before you remove them to a wire rack to cool. You don't want to take them out when they look all the way done.

  8. Cool on baking sheet for 2 minutes.

  9. Then remove to wire rack!
