Cheeseburger Pasta
In under 30 minutes, this pasta is packed with all the flavors of a cheeseburger!
I’m sure I’ve made a couple recipes that are pretty close to this one over the years but who knows at this point because I’ve been blogging for 16 years and have collected and made so many pasta dishes. This one is all the flavors of bacon cheeseburger in a pasta dish and that is always a keeper in my household. I don’t know why topping pasta with pickles is such a treat but it is!
What You Need:
8 oz. shell pasta
6 slices bacon, diced
1 lb. ground beef
1 onion, finely diced
16 oz. tomato sauce
1/4 cup ketchup
1 Tbsp. yellow mustard
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup diced pickles
1 Tbsp. chopped parsley
Directions:
Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain.
Meanwhile cook bacon in a large skillet over medium high heat for about 5 minutes or until bacon is browned and crisp. Then remove to a paper towel lined plate.
Reserve about 2 tsp. bacon grease in the skillet and add ground beef. Season with salt and pepper.
Cook until browned, crumbling as you go, for about 4 to 5 minutes.
Add onion and cook for an additional 4 minutes or until onion has softened.
Add tomato sauce, ketchup, and mustard to meat and stir to coat.
Add pasta to skillet along with cheddar cheese and stir to combine and help melt cheese.
Serve topped with bacon, pickles, and parsley!
